THE LE MAY CAR MUSEUM - THANKS TO BILL ROGERS OUR SPEAKER

Our program at the Dec. 6, 2008 club meeting was about the Le May car collection and museum. The photo is of Harold Le May and his wife. Bill talked to us about the cars in the collection. He also discussed activities in progress as well as future plans.

Particularly he showed us the plans for the new museum at the Tacoma Dome. So far they have raised 49.5 million dollars in cash and in kind donations, but they still need another 10 million dollars before they can break ground. Given the present ecomomic (lending) issues they are having difficulty in obtaining a loan.

Thank you so much for sharing with us Bill.

THE 2008 SPAGHETTI FEED

The 2008 Spaghetti Feed was held at Puyallup High School Commons on October 24, 2008. The event showed, once again, how so many come together to hold this annual fund-raising event successfully. This year we had some unexpected challenges but the members of the club came to the aid to make it a successful event. New this year was the entertainment that came from the Puyallup elementary and junior high schools. Doing so move proved to be very successful, not only in providing entertainment, but in bringing in parent to increase the attendance. We ended up serving 450 paying customers and over 100 volunteers and school performers. Thanks to everyone that made it come together so well.

Below are just a few pictures.
